The recent Great American Trucking Show (GATS) in Dallas was a great venue for trucking industry professionals to “touch and feel” the new Giti TBR product line-up, and the response was very positive.
An estimated 30,000 owner operators, fleet managers and other trucking industry professionals attended the three-day show. The Giti booth was manned by Phillip Lucero and Gary Hendricks.
While all the Giti tires on display received favorable comments, the two new ultra-wide base tires — GDL633 FS for the drive axle position and the GTL933 FS for trailers in long haul applications – really turned heads.
“We had a lot of people stop and look at the ultra-wide base display,” Lucero noted. “They wanted to touch and feel the tires and their comments were very encouraging.”
Not only do the wide base tires look and feel great, but they are also performing well, according to a representative of Pilot Flying J who has been monitoring their tread wear performance on the company’s tankers.
“It was very good exposure for Giti commercial tires, which is very important with Giti being a new brand in the industry,” Lucero said.
